Connected Learning, Missional Effectiveness, Effective Leadership
Over the coming years, Washington International Theological Seminary will continue to develop its role as a leading Theological Institute in the African Diaspora and beyond. We will champion the cause of training, developing, and equipping students to be effective, skilled individuals called for ministry in today’s world.
We purpose to emphasize spiritual learning, vitality, and life skills, ensuring that our graduates make a Christ-centered contribution to the communities in which they live, work, and serve.
We will always take seriously the complex and diverse world in which we live. From the viewpoint that accepts the Christian Gospel as the fundamental under-girding for life, we will ensure that our students are trained and encouraged to serve Jesus Christ authentically while handling complexity and diversity effectively.
We will seek to pioneer the development of innovative training, scholasticunderstanding, and critical awareness in order to prepare students to plant churches, enter cross-cultural ministry or build churches and communities that truly show the life changing power of Jesus Christ.
Our vision includes adaption to growing changes in our society and culture we purpose to develop talented, highly skilled, and motivated students, with effective governance, management and leadership.
